Much to no one's surprise, the juggernaut known as Thunderdome marched methodically to yet another championship fight. This time against the aspiring Cinderella, Campbell State. With identical regular season records, it looked to be a close fight. Campbell State and Thunderdome had met in the first week of the season in a rather lopsided win for the defending champs, but since then, Campbell State proceeded to reel off a series of wins and entered the Championship game with just the single loss. Equal records and equally talented, both teams were worthy adversaries of one another.

Players and fans both agree that Wednesday night's dodgeball playoff was nothing less than epic! It started out as a grudge match between Team BlackOut and "That Kam of the month". The two teams did not face each other during the season so there was no history to base predictions on. As the #6 seed, Team BlackOut had something to prove, and they proved it by taking out "That Kam of the month" and moving on to the 2nd round.
