Another season, another CHAMPION!

On the frozen tundra of Camden Community Center, two titans clashed in an epic battle. Red State vs Blue State, Crips vs Bloods, Sobriety vs (Stevie’s) Barfly.
The Red Team, led by Melissa, the eponymous captain of Team Melissa, looked to maintain their perfect season by finishing off an opponent they have beaten twice before. The Blue Team, Stevie’s Wonderballers, led by their equally exceptional Generalissimo Tori, hoped to beat the only team to blemish their flawless season.
Melissa launched the opening salvo quickly and aggressively. The Wonderballers were nonetheless unperturbed and immediately returned serve with two quick wins. Taking the lead for the first time against Melissa, the favorite customers of Stevie’s Bar looked comfortable and focused, snatching balls out of the air like a hungry bear hunting for salmon. The battle seesawed back and forth. In the end, Melissa and co were able to use their experience from last season’s championship game to edge out a 5-4 win. The match was competitive and marked by great sportsmanship. Congratulations to both teams!
