Blu BallZ win the Dodgeball Championship!

On Wednesday night, we wrapped up season one of San Jose dodgeball. It was a fantastic first season, with a lot of fun, outgoing personalities in the league.

The Blu Ballz maintained their season long form throughout the night, but were tested early and late. In their first game of the night, against the Jolly Green Balls, they had their hands full. The green team, playing with the most players they've had in the past three weeks, raced out to a 3-0 lead against the undefeated blue team. But the Blu Ballz rallied and tied it at 3-3 before ultimately prevailing, 6-4.

In the second match of the night, they easily dispatched the 2nd place red team, who may have been saving their energy for the championship match, or the flip cup table.

The third match of the night pitted the red team, Great Balls of Fire, against the Jolly Green Balls, in a free for all game so that the red team could rest their arms.

Finally, in the championship game, the first place Blu Ballz faced off against the red team. They pulled out to a 4-1 lead, and the red team answered back with a last second win to cut their deficit to 4-2, which was the final score.
